Dr. Candice Goldstein

Dr. Candice Goldstein earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American Psychological Association accredited PhD program at California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP). Dr. Goldstein is also a California State Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II (CADC-II #RA834700), with two Master of Arts Degrees in Psychology. Her first Master’s degree was earned in Counseling Psychology at New York University, and the second was in Clinical Psychology at CSPP.
In addition to her role at Spero Retreat, Dr. Goldstein has a private practice providing counseling for addictive behaviors and specializes in treating substance abuse and sex and love addiction. Dr. Goldstein also has an academic appointment as a Program Director and Assistant Professor at Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science for the CAADAC approved Substance Abuse Counseling and Community Health, Alcohol and Other Drug Studies programs as well as serving as Adjunct Faculty at California State University, Los Angeles in the Health Science department.
Dr. Goldstein has held numerous professional roles in the field of addictions and mental health since 1996. Dr. Goldstein’s resume includes positions such as, Clinical Director of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, Program Coordinator of a treatment program for adolescents on probation, and Psychotherapist providing treatment within outpatient, day treatment, hospitals, residential, therapeutic communities and private office settings.
